As you meditate, energize the connection between the divine self and the personality self. You can add the intention that you want direction in your life, but the first step is to have greater and greater connection with your divine self. A greater connection to the point where the personality self seeks that direction as a noble stead seeks the direction of his master. The loving master gives the horse its own head, as the saying goes. So, the personality will know it needs to have its mind sharp, its emotions balanced, and its physical state strong and healthy. And it knows it has meaningful work, but the big decisions come from the divine self and that is the seat of true happiness.
You may ask for guidance in meditation, but most important is that the connection is strengthened and the information is known to your conscious mind as it needs to know and the course of how it needs to go. If you feel the answer is not yet, then ask how can I prepare? But recognize that which comes from the divine self and that which comes from the personality self. It can be quite subtle.
Through consistent practice and pure intention, the communication between the personality and divine self will get stronger and the guidance become clearer. It is not a matter of willing it to happen, but simply being there and attending to what needs to be done. Meditate or, at times during the day, make that connection; ask the questions and find the answer. Ask, “Am I expressing my divine self?” It is a tricky question. As I said, there are subtle traps the personality self can fall into.
It is not a matter of doing good deeds, but in the simple act of being connected with the divine self, you send that energy throughout the earth. And like a tuning fork, it energizes the divine self within others. To some who are attuned to their higher self, it is as joining a choir for them; for others who are not attentive or even aware of their divine nature, it is more muffled. Its expression may be simply an act of kindness, or the cessation of an act of harshness, or the possibility of hope in the world or acknowledging the possibility of hope. It is not with intention that you need to send forth this energy to help people; it simply is. You are affirming in the world the divine nature of all things. And that affirmation resonates with all.
